Dragon Holdings's Management Participated in European Investment Promotion Conference Held in Czech, Germany, France and Slovakia

In 9/2014, the Manager of Dragon Holdings had a business trip to Europe after the invitations of the Euro-Vietnam Business Networking (EVBN) and the Representative Office of Bank for the Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) at Czech Republic with the aim of participating in European Investment Promotion Conference held in Czech, Germany, France and Slovakia.

The Euro-Vietnam Business Networking (EVBN) and the Representative Office of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) in Czech Republic participated in the conference as important partners.
The objects of the conference are enterprises from countries in Europe such as Czech Republic, Germany, France and Slovakia... which have interest in making investment activities in Viet Nam or have business cooperatiom with enterprises from 
Viet Nam

Mr. Hoang Thuy Duong, the representative of the Counsellor of Vietnam Embassy in Czech Republic, stated that the Economic cooperation’s between Vietnam and European countries the thrivin nowadays. In fact, the two-way trade turnover has nearly doubled over last five years.

Total trade turnover of Vietnam – Czech in 2014 was $ 546 millions and the balance of trade between two countries continued to improve . However, the consequence of investment cooperation has not been commensurate with potential yet. By now, Czech Republic has only more than 30 small-scale investment projects in Vietnam, which concentrate on: crystal glass, beer, electrical equipment, food processing, construction materials, mining...


In the speech of "Viet Nam – investment opportunities and trade”, Mr. 
Nguyen Thang Long, the Commercial Counsellor of Vietnam Embassy in Czech Republic, underlined that Czech Republic has advantages of export-oriented industrialization, with many prestigious industries. Viet Nam interests in importing machineries, equipments, high-tech products from Czech Republic as well as spare parts, materials and items use for production, domestic assumption and exports processing. Simultaneously, Viet Nam always welcome Czech investors and enterprises to research market, find partners, build the links to joint venture for production, providing products in Viet Nam or exporting to third countries.


Counsellor Nguyen Thang Long said the two sides have expressed great determination to enhance investment, develop trade – import, export. Czech Republic has preparation of some investment promotion projects in Viet Nam. Hopefully in the near future negotiations will bring the expected result soon.

At the same time, Mrs Jana Ackermann, the representative of EVBN, considered that investment opportunities in Vietnam are feasible, Vietnam is a potential country with wide-open market and high population.
